How Calmara Came to Be
Calmara was established in Si Racha, Chonburi in 2019 by a small group of administrative professionals who had spent years observing the same pattern: working adults and retiree communities in Thailand had access to plenty of pension-related information — but little of it was organised in a way that helped people know what questions to ask or what steps to take next.
The name Calmara reflects the spirit we try to bring to every engagement: calm, measured, ordered. Pension matters carry real weight for individuals and for the HR teams managing them. That weight deserves a steady, respectful approach — not a hurried one.
We began with a single worksheet series developed for a retiree residents' group in Chonburi. The response was encouraging, and over the following two years we shaped that material into the Readiness Self-Assessment Toolkit now used across the region. The Employer Process Advisory offering grew out of requests from HR departments who had seen their colleagues use the toolkit and wanted similar clarity at the organisational level.
Community Information Seminars were added when it became clear that many people benefited not just from the materials themselves, but from an open setting where common questions could be raised and answered together. We keep seminar groups small — up to thirty — so the conversation stays practical and specific.

Scope Discipline
We are clear about what Calmara provides and what it does not. When a question falls outside our scope, we say so and point toward appropriate sources.

Material Accuracy
Worksheets and seminar content are reviewed at least annually and updated whenever relevant Thai administrative guidelines change.
Honest Communication
We do not overstate our role or the outcomes of using our materials. Plain, honest language is a core part of our service quality.
Accessibility
Materials are formatted for comfortable reading at all ages. Seminar delivery is paced to allow questions and follow-up without time pressure.
Continuous Improvement
Feedback from every seminar and employer engagement is used to refine our worksheets and session structure on an ongoing basis.
Our Expertise
Pension Administration, Explained in Plain Terms
Pension administration involves a range of processes — from understanding what records an employer is expected to keep, to knowing which official bodies hold information relevant to a person's retirement situation. For many people, the sheer volume of documentation involved is the main obstacle, not a lack of motivation to prepare.
Calmara's approach is to reduce that obstacle by providing structured starting points. Our Readiness Self-Assessment Toolkit does not tell people what to decide — it helps them identify what they need to know and which questions they should be putting to a qualified professional or relevant authority. That kind of structured clarity tends to make subsequent conversations with accountants, legal advisers or pension-fund administrators far more productive.
For HR teams, the challenge is often consistency: making sure that the same administrative steps are followed in the same order, that deadlines are tracked, and that records are maintained in a way that makes them retrievable when needed. Our Employer Process Advisory engagement focuses on exactly that layer of operational organisation, without stepping into advice about individual employee entitlements.
Community seminars address the shared questions that arise in retiree groups — how different pension structures work at a general level, where official information can be found, and how to approach conversations with the right authorities. These sessions are deliberately kept small and open in format, so participants can raise the specific details relevant to their own circumstances and hear how others in similar situations have approached the same questions.
