Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They help the site remember certain information about your visit — such as whether you have accepted the cookie notice — so that your experience is consistent and the site can function properly.
Cookies are widely used across the web. This policy explains the specific cookies used on the Calmara website (calmara.cyou), what they do, and how you can manage your preferences.
2. Cookies We Use
We use a small number of cookies, grouped into the categories below. The table for each category lists the cookie name, its purpose and how long it lasts.
2a. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. They do not collect personal data for marketing purposes and cannot be switched off without affecting core site functionality. Under Thailand's PDPA and generally accepted practice, these do not require your consent.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookieConsent | Records whether you have acknowledged and responded to our cookie consent notice, so the notice is not shown to you again on subsequent visits. | 12 months (localStorage) | Calmara (first party) |
| PHPSESSID | Standard PHP session identifier used to maintain continuity during a single browsing session (e.g., form submission flow). Contains no personal data. | Session (expires on browser close) | Calmara (first party) |
2b. Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website in aggregate — for example, which pages are visited most often and whether visitors find what they are looking for. The data collected is anonymised before we review it. Analytics cookies are only placed if you choose to accept them via our cookie consent notice.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics cookie used to distinguish unique visitors. The IP address is anonymised before data is stored or processed by Google. | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| _ga_<ID> | Used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state and count page visits per session. | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| _gid | Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users over a shorter window. Helps identify repeat visits within a 24-hour period. | 24 hours | Google Analytics |
| _gat | Used by Google Analytics to throttle request rate, ensuring performance is not adversely affected. | 1 minute | Google Analytics |
We do not use analytics data for advertising purposes, and we do not allow Google to use or share the data collected on our site for their own purposes beyond standard service provision. For more information on how Google handles this data, you may review Google's privacy documentation at policies.google.com/privacy.
2c. Preference Cookies
We do not currently set preference cookies beyond the consent record listed under Strictly Necessary above. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
2d. Marketing or Advertising Cookies
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies on this website. We do not run retargeting programmes and we do not share visitor data with advertising networks.
3. Third-Party Content and Embedded Maps
Our website includes an embedded Google Maps frame on the contact section of the homepage. When this map loads, Google may set cookies on your device in accordance with their own cookie policy. These are third-party cookies from Google, not set by Calmara. If you prefer not to receive Google Maps cookies, you can view our address directly at maps.google.com instead.
4. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, our site uses your browser's localStorage to store your cookie consent preference. This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. It persists until you clear your browser storage or it is removed by your device. The key stored is cookieConsent.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Via our cookie notice — when you first visit the site, a notice will appear offering you the choice to accept or decline optional analytics cookies. Your choice is stored and the notice will not appear again unless you clear your browser data.
- Via your browser settings — all modern browsers allow you to view, manage, block or delete cookies through the browser's settings or preferences menu. Please note that blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may affect how the website functions.
- Via your device settings — mobile browsers also offer controls for managing cookies under the device's privacy or browser settings.

6. Google Analytics Opt-Out
If you have accepted analytics cookies and later wish to opt out, you can do so by declining cookies via your browser settings. You may also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which prevents your visit data from being sent to Google Analytics across any website that uses it.
7. Consent and Legal Basis
In accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) and good practice guidelines, we rely on the following bases for the cookies we set:
- Strictly necessary cookies — legitimate interest / technical necessity; no consent required
- Analytics cookies — your explicit consent, given via the cookie notice on your first visit
You may withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time by clearing the cookieConsent entry from your browser's localStorage (usually found under Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage) and then re-visiting the site to set a new preference.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies or change the way we use existing ones. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to revisit this page periodically to stay informed.
